PORTRAITS IN STYLE AND CULTURE
Meet Luke Ditella, Motorcycle Enthusiast/Father
Tell us about your life’s work.
As my profession has evolved from a professional athlete to host to ambassador to model to business owner, there’s been one constant thread weaving it all together since I collected my first check at age 14: freedom. Meaning always having the time for my passions, which in turn have become my professions.
What do you find inspiring about your life’s work?
My life inspires me. Mostly because I’ve never once taken the status quo, navigated a profession the way that I've been told to or followed the common blueprint. I believe that my life proves that manifestation, vision and inspiration all merge together to create your reality. You just need to focus and understand that there’s work you have to put in. Manifesting your life and creating it is not just envisioning what you want. It's visualizing it, honing in on it and treating it as though it's already real. Absorbing those emotions and then creating an action plan to get there.
How does your sense of pride inform what you do?
I'm not so sure that pride plays a role in it. For me, it's more so my perspective. I came from very little in the literal sense and my appreciation and gratitude informs my actions. I focus on being present and appreciating the process.
What do you want your legacy to be?
That I was kind and paid it forward. That I inspired others through how I made them feel and the example that I set through being true to myself and those I care about.
What’s your take on classic style?
My answer has remained the same for the last 20 years. Classic to me is something that was relevant 40 years ago, is relevant currently and will remain relevant 40 years from now.
“I’ve always approached the work I was interested in with a focus on freedom. Freedom to do things my way and remain time rich.”
